Opis:
Dark Souls to action/RPG osadzony w mrocznym świecie fantasy. Za jego opracowanie odpowiedzialne jest studio From Software, mające w dorobku Demon’s Souls, niezwykle wymagającego przedstawiciela tego samego gatunku, który zawładnął sercami posiadaczy konsoli PlayStation 3 w 2009/2010 roku.
Akcja Dark Souls toczy się w uniwersum utrzymanym w stylistyce średniowiecznego fantasy i inspirowanym kilkoma motywami. Ponownie są to takie aspekty jak rycerze i królowie, śmierć i podziemia, czy chociażby ogień i chaos. W odróżnieniu od poprzedniego dzieła studia From Software, świat Dark Souls nie został jednak podzielony na odrębne poziomy. Zamiast tego otrzymaliśmy płynne przejścia między strefami i sporymi połaciami terenu – gracz może dotrzeć do każdego miejsca widocznego na ekranie. Twórcy zwiększyli w ten sposób rolę eksploracji i stworzyli bardziej skomplikowane lokacje (rozciągające się nie tylko w poziomie, ale i pionie). W trakcie rozgrywki ponownie zagłębiamy się w mroczne korytarze zamków i opuszczone podziemia, nie dysponując przy tym żadnymi szczegółowymi mapami. Ukończenie produkcji zajmuje około 60 godzin.
